“I’ll buy another club if they do not sell me the Arsenal Club” – Dangote

The richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, has said he will consider buying another football club if he is not sold the Arsenal of the Premier League club.

Dangote, who is a fan of the club, has wanted to buy the British club for years. He says he will make a move only after he has completed one of the largest oil refineries in the world in Lagos.

“When we finish, we will be a $ 30 billion company in terms of revenue,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg TV at the New Economy Forum in Singapore. “We will have a lot of excess cash to start playing.”

“I’m very attached to Arsenal, but if he does not sell, he might have to change,” said Dangote, 61, worth $ 11.1 billion. “I’m a big football fan, I’d like to have a club, I do not have to own Arsenal.”

The American businessman, Stan Kroenke, who has a value of $ 8 billion, is the sole owner of the Arsenal club. He bought the 30 percent stake of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov in August in an agreement that valued the club at approximately 1,800 million pounds. Kroenke is also the owner of Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.
