In recent years, Subaru has often faced problems with cars. At the end of 2018, she had to recall 400,000 vehicles due to faulty valve springs — making the fixes clearly took a lot of time and effort. Also, she had to stop production at Japanese plants for a short time because of problems with hydraulic amplifiers. In March, the manufacturer was overtaken by another problem-in millions of cars there was a failure due to chemicals contained in perfumes and other cosmetics.

The problem was found in the models Impreza, Forester and Crosstrek, released between 2008 and 2017. It turned out that chemical compounds from consumer goods create interference when the brake lights are turned on-the flow to the electricity to the rear lights is significantly reduced, and they become useless. The problem with the signals can lead to another trouble: the car may simply not start.

Because of these consequences, the manufacturer took the problem very seriously. He had to recall 2.3 million cars-the largest recall in the history of the company. Unfortunately, this trouble occurred just at a time when she and so many problems due to other detected faults. The most interesting thing is that the manufacturer does not even know how to protect the contact brake lights from chemical compounds that are in the air almost constantly.

It is noteworthy that this is not the strangest reason for the recall of cars in history. In 2013, Toyota has recalled 870 000 cars due to the fact that spiders started to weave webs in the drain pipe of the air conditioner.
