SpaceX broke four records by launching Falcon 9 that night

This night, the successful launch of the Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg air force base in California brought SpaceX four new records — a sure sign that the company led by Elon Musk, and the commercial space industry as a whole is rapidly maturing. At 10:34 local time, the Falcon 9 rocket pierced the crystal clear skies and rushed into space. However, this launch was not quite usual

or four reasons.

Let's see what happened that night.

Falcon 9 sets records

First, it was the 19th SpaceX launch in a year. This launch surpassed the previous annual record of 18 launches last year.

Secondly, the Falcon 9 rocket managed to deliver 64 satellites into orbit at once — this is a record for the United States. The world record belongs to India, which was able to launch 104 satellites at the same time in 2017.

Third, the b1046 reusable launch vehicle was the first of the first Falcon 9 stages to be used in three separate launches. The previous two took place on 11 may and 7 August this year.

Fourthly, the same launch vehicle went into space from three SpaceX launch sites: in the space center. Kennedy, Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg air force base in California.

Not bad, agree? However, in fairness, it’s worth noting that the private rocket company was a little helped: its only client on this mission, SpaceFlight Industries, bought the exclusive right to this Falcon 9. Today’s simultaneous launch of 64 compass-pointing satellites indicates a new trend in aerospace — the use of compact, inexpensive satellites, as well as the gradual abandonment of heavy missiles.
