ASUU Strike: ASUU key requirements

Questions, by ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, includes amounts, fractions and non-payment of salaries, earned training allowance, non-issue of operational license NUPEMCO, non-compliance with the provisions of the 2014 pension reform law with respect to dismissed teachers and their salaries, and the exclusion of University school staff from public funding.

Other requirements include funding for the revival of public universities, which entails the introduction of a needs assessment report and addressing the lack of funding for public universities and the distribution of universities to their visitors.

1.Areas of agreement include funding for the revitalization of public universities and the provision of academic benefits.

2.The issue of financing of higher school personnel

3. Implementation of the decision of the National industrial court, the national University pension management company and the pension guidelines for professors.

4.An exemption proposed by the government with respect to the TSA issue, which included grants, donations, as well as a shortage of wages, which is already being implemented by the government.

5.The Union also promised to submit a position paper to the Federal government on their comments so that the government could advise the state governments.
