A man has called the popular phone company, Apple after his new phone exploded during the software update.

Apple is investigating reports that an iPhone X has exploded, after a user claimed on Twitter that his smartphone warmed up and started emitting smoke while he was updating his software.
This would not be the first time that an iPhone X has suffered from overheating and, in concert with Apple’s recent admission that the touch screen of the smartphone is not working properly, they question the technology giant’s strong reputation for producing reliable hardware.

The report of the explosive device came on Wednesday, when the owner of the iPhone X, Rahel Mohamad, tweeted that his “iPhone X got hot and exploded in the process of upgrading to 12.1 iOS.”
The images accompanying his tweet reveal a broken and charred-looking iPhone X, while Mohamad’s later publications explain that the device “just started smoking and smoking.”
In response to his tweet, Apple Support responded: “That’s definitely not an expected behavior, DM us, so we can see this with you.” And in a follow-up tweet yesterday, Rahel Mohamad revealed that he had sent the phone to Apple for “additional investigation,” since he could not get an appointment with one of the tech company’s stores until next week.

Mohamad’s account of what happened, therefore, has not yet been confirmed, but is consistent with the recent news of the iPhone X.
In June, numerous iPhone X owners flocked to Apple’s support forums to complain that their phones overheated to worrying levels.
One user said, “I had [my iPhone X] in my hands for a few minutes, and I could feel the case heating up. I removed the case and the phone was so hot that I could not even hold it in my hand, but it was not turned off , so I turned off the phone manually. ”
User complaints also revealed that such heating problems were due to charging issues, with some phones struggling to keep their batteries at normal energy levels.
The report on the explosion of an iPhone X occurs only days after Apple admitted that the touch screens of some models do not work properly, since (occasionally or completely) do not respond to the touch of users.

“Apple has determined that some iPhone X displays may experience touch problems due to a component that may fail in the display module,” he explained earlier this week.
And while the technology giant claims that this problem only affects a “limited number” if the iPhone Xs, these problems tarnish their enviable reputation for safe and reliable products.
